The James Patterson’s Alex Cross Books Series

James B. Patterson is an American novelist who is famous for writing thriller novels for readers and has one of his most famous series based on a detective name Alex Cross, although he does write fiction books based on romance and also non fictions but the fame he has earned has been because of his thriller and suspense books based on a detective Alex Cross.

Patterson has came out with a series of books after his retirement from advertising in 1996, after which he devoted his time into writing books which came out to be quite fruitful for him. However, even though his novel has been the bestselling novel for quite a long time, many of the people have been more disappointed by his new book “Cross”. This is the latest book of the series of the psychologist Alex Cross.

Just going back to the other books, readers of thriller and suspense books just loved how he wrote and built up each and every plot of it for his readers. They loved the character of Alex Cross and what he did. However, the most recent book named cross has not reached up to the mark as other books had. The book basically tells a story about a Brooklyn born killer, who has a very unique way of killing his victims which could be associated with Alex‘s wife death. Even though the plot when read may seem interesting but the way it has been put down into words by the writer just isn’t good enough. The way he built up the story to cater with its plot does not seem pleasing to the readers; rather it makes you lose your interest come to think of his other books of the same series.

Even though the book has been written in the same pattern as he has been writing his other books, where she shows both side of the story based on both Alex’s side and also the villains to build up the mystery. Yet again he failed to do in this novel of his, there was no dept found in reading. Not only that the book was more gruesome and bloody compared to other books and that made it hard for some people to read, where they characterized the book as something related to death then a thriller based book. This book would surely be the black spot of the series.

What to Consider When Chooosing Butter Knives

Just as food comes in all varieties, so do silverware or flatware to prepare and serve it from the kitchen to the table. Flatware for example is designed to avoid spillage, contamination and ease of cleaning after handling different delicacies at the table. Speaking of flatware and butter knives to be specific can easily be distinguished from ordinary table knives from their shape. Butter knives have a dull edge and a rounded point or a pointed tip for slicing butter and spreading it on slices of bread. The pointed part of the butter knife should only be used for slicing pieces of butter thus other table knives in use during dinner or breakfast should not touch the butter or other food you intend to spread butter on. When spreading butter, it is advisable to use a round tipped butter knife so as not to tear your bread.

If you are looking forward to shopping for butter knives and want to get ones that are going to satisfactorily meet your needs, then considering the following points as a checklist will help a lot towards this respect:

* The purpose of the butter knife which should only be slicing or spreading the butter. Round tipped knives are ideal for a smooth spread.

* Consider butter knives for right or left handed use for you or other users at home to avoid discomfort at meal times.

* Butter knives material should be long lasting, so insist on dishwasher safe handles like stainless steel or rosewood among many other choices available. The butter knife’s handle and body may also come in pure steel.

* You can always match butter knives with your other flatware. When hosting a party or a huge family, ordering a reasonable set of butter knives is good as most flatware may come with only one butter knife.
* When shopping for butter knives, beware of fake ones that may also be cheap, high quality butter knives will cost you a bit more but will guarantee many years of service before you consider replacement.

As butter knives will always be in our households for ages, designs will continue changing with time. Elegant and unique designs that interest you are always available. They may range in prices. Antique knives are stylish but may cost you a bit so it is always good to budget earlier in advance.
